Terreno Baldío is a contemporary art gallery based in Mexico City, founded in 2005 by Eduardo Mier y Terán. Over the course of two decades, Terreno Baldío has presented more than 110 exhibitions, covering various disciplines and collaborating with both emerging and established creators. Its commitment to art extends beyond the gallery, curating exhibitions in public spaces, such as the shows at Luis Cabrera Park in the Roma neighborhood, and establishing partnerships with the Javier Marín Foundation in Michoacán and Yucatán to develop residency programs, workshops, and exhibitions.
More than just a gallery, Terreno Baldío is conceived as a hub for artistic exchange and production, a space where ideas, processes, and works create connections between the local and the global, fostering new ways of understanding and inhabiting contemporary art.
