El Institut d’Estudis Fotogràfics de Catalunya is a non-profit Cultural Association, with the philosophy of an entity at the service of the public. The mission of the IEFC is to encourage, stimulate and promote the study, research and dissemination of photography.

El Institut d’Estudis Fotogràfics de Catalunya has been working for more than 40 years in the training and promotion of photographers, and in the conservation and dissemination of photographic heritage. Its project is to work to be more competitive in the knowledge and information society, where the image plays a relevant role.

Lara Castañeda Zambrano is a student at the IEFC. With her project Our Loneliness she reflects on loneliness, its sensations and motivations as well as its social implications through an intimate diary of sober and poetic images.
