Interactive experiences open up endless possibilities for creating photographic projects, from commercial video games to intimate experiences in virtual reality.
This workshop aims to bring students closer to these new practices, provide different references on the use of new technologies in photographic projects and offer tools to carry out an interactive project without previous knowledge of computers.

Ignacio Navas (Tudela, 1989)
Photographer based in Madrid. After studying Fine Arts at the Complutense University of Madrid, he specialised in photography at Blank Paper Escuela. After that, he worked for more than six years in the videogame industry, specifically in the communication department of MercurySteam, a videogame studio with more than twenty years of experience that has developed videogames for important companies such as Nintendo or Konami. He currently co-directs El Local, an independent space for photography in the centre of Madrid.
In his work, Navas presents us with profound everyday narratives that immerse us in the complexities and contradictions of Western society. In his work he investigates how political, economic and social structures manifest themselves and shape our daily lives. In his latest projects he explores new interactive paths for the medium, creating interactive experiences and non-fiction video games from the photographic image.
As a teacher, he has offered workshops such as Fotografía + Grapas with Andrés Cobacho (Córdoba, 2013), organised portfolio viewings and given master classes in schools and training programmes such as Blank Paper Escuela (Madrid, 2014), AULA (Virtual, 2021) or IDEP (Barcelona, 2023).
