Collecting itself is a sector full of specificities and the presence of photography in more general art collections is still a minority. To shed light on the sector, the session will begin with a presentation of the Collezione Molinario by its creator, the Italian collector Ettore Molinario. His collection focuses on the symbolic construction of personal and sexual identity through photography.
The aim of this round table is to give collectors a voice so that they can explain their experience and motivations, their vision of the art sector, their needs and complicities, and at the same time put on the table the demands of the sector through the latest proposal for a law brought to the Congress through the Fundació Catalunya Cultura. The round table will be moderated by Moritz Neumüller, connoisseur of the Spanish and International photographic sector. Noa Omedes from Fundació Bassat and Saleta Rosón from Fundación Ankaria, both with experience on both sides of creativity, as collectors and creators, will be joined by Miquel Àngel Vallès, who will focus on the needs and changes that the sector must assume as a request from society to support creators by creating good conditions for the market, a cornerstone to support a necessary and renewed system.
