If you need an approach to the world of photobooks or you are working on a specific project, in this workshop we will give you the guidelines to know what photobooks are and how they are made.

The session includes a theory part about the photobook and an optional work review part. From a set of images, we will learn different strategies to compose our work in book format. We will also know some keys to the processes involved in editorial production. Participants who wish can receive personalized advice for their photographic and editorial projects.

Photographer and cultural manager specialized in photobooks, Olmo González works at Fiebre Photobook, the first photobook festival in Spain, as well as at Cristina de Middel’s publishing house This Book is True. He also participates in schools and festivals with workshops, talks, portfolio reviews, curating books, as well as reviews on specialized websites, in addition to having the first YouTube channel in Spanish about photobooks. He has accompanied Cristina de Middel, Ruth Montiel Arias or Maite Camacho (IN-Sonora), among others, in the edition of their publications, as well as advising or training more than 70 authors. In addition, he has self-published two photobooks, 14 fanzines and countless dummys.
