All photographers, professional or amateur, should have a basic knowledge of the essential principles of copyright and image rights, so as not to incur risks in the exercise of their practice, whether professional or not. The session will be supported with practical examples, making it easier to assimilate the exposed theoretical content.
The following points will be covered:
1.- Author’s rights / Copyright: rights that correspond to authors, exceptions or limits to copyright, transfer of rights to third parties, Creative Commons licences, license agreements, cases of rights infringement and how to avoid them.
2.- People’s image rights, especially in acts in which they appear in a photograph: basic principles and exceptions, simple documents to obtain consent.
Enric Enrich has been practicing as a lawyer in Barcelona since 1980. He established his own office Copyrait – Enrich Advocats specialized in entertainment law, especially music, audiovisual and plastic arts. He currently works in association with the Croma office, specialized in technology and digital projects.
Enric is a WIPO and IFTA arbitrator, and a mediator in Neutrals (JAMS).
He is a sworn translator of English, and also uses French and Italian in his work.
Enric is currently a professor of copyright issues, specifically in music and photography at the International Music Business School and in the Master’s programs at the Conservatori del Liceu in Barcelona, Master’s in Photography at Elisava, Online Master’s in Photography and Design at SHIFTA, Master of Production at Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC) Master of Audiovisual Executive Production at Blanquerna Ramon Llull University. He has taught at other universities such as ESADE, UPF or Berklee College of Music. He is also a yoga teacher.
