Art Photo Bcn, the festival and emerging photography fair, already has many of its 8 actions in Associated Locations working and its great weekend is coming soon. From May 3 to 5, the fair, the portfolio review, the workshops and activities will be the protagonists at the Arts Santa Mònica. In this sixth edition highlights the variety of formats, origins and finishes.

Art Photo Bcn has become the meeting point of the most current photography with diverse profiles of exhibitors that shows the trends of the moment. Circuits that coexist in parallel, schools and specialized centers, share space with galleries and curators, to join forces and make themselves known to the general and specialized public. Professionals of great trajectory are placed next to new talents that want to find their place to bring their projects to the public and show that everyone can collect photography in multiple formats. The fair section consists of 22 exhibitors with projects of 40 authors that reflect the great variety of current photographic production. The multiple realities that can be captured with a camera to leave no one indifferent.

To emphasize this vision, for the first time Fiebre Photobook takes part on Art Photo Bcn, the national reference festival around the photobook. More than twenty tables in which the photobook is the protagonist, with publishers, stores, authors and schools to demonstrate the good health of the editorial production from Barcelona, ​​Madrid, Rotterdam, Warsaw, London or Arles. In addition, the participation of Andrew Waits and Tiffany Jones is thanks to the support of Acción Cultural Española (AC /E) through the program (PICE).

The open activities are also going to be varied. Presentations of projects, dialogues, actions and some other surprise, to which we will add a solidary auction of Sigma Ambassadors and a photo contest with the support of Mapfre Foundation. 8 Professional workshops are the program focused on covering very specific segments of photography studies. From the editing to the preparation of portfolios through the creation of a collective photobook or the preparation of projects to display on the wall.
