Join the celebration of the ninth edition
15 de marzo de 2022
After two editions marked by the pandemic and restrictions, Art Photo Bcn proposes a ninth edition characterized by celebration and creativity, strengthening Barcelona’s position in the photographic circuit and feeding our environment. Without neglecting reflection, we welcome the festival as a party around photography, with a new headquarters and three new calls and collaborations.
The ninth edition will take place from September 8 to 11 at the Disseny Hub Barcelona, a building marked by the creative effervescence that arises from its composition and objectives. A place of reference for the enhancement and projection of industries and the creative circuit. Focused on creativity and with the support of A-FAD, we began this joint journey to position photography as one of the most powerful fields of our time.
In the cosmopolitan atmosphere of Poble Nou, you can enjoy the latest photography in different formats and with many novelties. For the first time, the fair will be organized in solo project format curated by Vicenç Boned, collector and great connoisseur of the photographic medium. A great addition to our work team that entails broadening the scope of the fair with new rules of the game to give prominence to a single project per stand. The photography fair and the Photobook Market will be the pillars of the event, and the calls to participate are open until full capacity.
One more year, we open the call for Portfolio Reviews aimed at photographers. Arianna Rinaldo joins the selection committee, who together with Jesús Micó, Gonzalo Golpe, Pedro Torres, Simona Rota and Miren Pastor, will be in charge of choosing the 8 finalist projects for this edition. In the reviewing session that will take place during the festival, the prizes will be decided and the winning project, which in addition to being the image of the next edition, will obtain 2,000€ in fees. The deadline is May 15, don’t miss it!
A great opportunity to share, enjoy and discover the latest photography. A medium as full of nuances and interesting approaches as the Never neverland project by Vanessa Roca, winner of the previous edition, which will star in this year’s graphic. The author proposes a celebration of a moment of transition, a process of change that takes center stage and comes out of intimacy to universalize the feelings that emerge from it. An example of how photography touches us all equally and its usefulness to publicize the processes of change of a person and a society.
The ninth edition presents us with new challenges and opportunities, do you want to participate?
