For the third year in a row, Fiebre Photobook, the festival specialized in photo books, will be a part of Art Photo Bcn. An essential meeting point for boosting and giving prominence to small publishers, independent labels, as well as to already established publishers, stores or distributors specialized in photo books. The Fiebre Bookmarket will be complemented by presentations and activities organized in parallel.
Fiebre Photobook, the pioneering festival in Spain organized by Olmo González, Miren Pastor and Daniel Mayrit, celebrates its 9th birthday. Fiebre emerged from the Blank Paper School of Madrid, due to the need of creating an encounter between independent and established publishers, emerging and already running artists, professionals of the sector like curators, editors or specialists, always with the idea of generating networks and broadening the public.
With the books fair as the main shaft, the annual meeting point that gets complemented by the other initiatives that are active during the rest of the year like the Dummy Award, the BookJockey sessions, the workshops for all kinds of public, the exhibitions around the photobook, the presentations and talks.
